An enchanting name for this estate in the Saumur region of the Loire Valley. Its wines are just as enchanting, thanks to a methodical approach in which chenin, chardonnay and cabernet franc flourish to give the best of their characteristics. The winemaker

Historically, the Saumurois wine region has a long history of viticulture. Thanks to its proximity to the Loire, a highly commercial river at the time, the vineyards have developed over the ages. The terroirs are also ideal for growing vines and making great wines. It's against this backdrop that the Domaine de l'Enchantoir is also writing the pages of its history. For several centuries, it has known vines and generations of winegrowers passing on their knowledge to each other, and then to us. In 2016, the Brunet family took over the estate and intend to continue the fairy tale in their own way. In this vineyard nestled in Puy Notre-Dame, they want to work in tune with the vines and their surroundings. Organic viticulture was a natural choice for this 17-hectare estate. The remarkable limestone and tufa soils are ideal for producing complex, rich and elegant wines. Grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc are grown on this magical terroir, which has been witness to viticulture since the 16th century. Once harvested, the grapes arrive in an efficient and original winery. If you're not accustomed to the vineyards of the Loire, you may be surprised to see the troglodyte cellars of Domaine de l'Enchantoir, where the wines will be aged and show off all the typicity of the Saumur region...
