The winemaker

The grape varieties used to produce the wines are the most typical of the Loire: Cabernet Franc for Saumur, which thrives on arigol-calcareous terroirs, and Chenin Blanc for Coteaux du Layon, which benefits from a schist terroir. The Domaine des Bénédictins vineyard also produces Sauvignon and Chardonnay grapes, a particularity in this region.
