The winemaker

Besides a few bottles of Rosé, production focuses on its AOC Cahors wine range whose expression is one of the jewels of the Charter "Cahors Excellence". 35 hectares - 200,000 bottles 97% Red (Malbec, Merlot, Tannat) 3% Rose (Malbec, Merlot) Located west of the appellation, Château Lamartine occupies a special place in the vineyards of Cahors Its location favors a certain precocity of securing grapes and regularity of vintages. Its 35 hectares facing south, make it a prestigious vineyard on a privileged terroir. A strong advocate of respect for the agri-environmental ethics, Alain Gayraud attaches high importance to tillage. The result is a living equilibrium in which the vines draw the necessary minerals to the concentration and complexity of great wines. Furthermore, leafing and green harvesting allow the regularity of a moderate yield.
