The winemaker

The Château Laurou dedicated to the wine business since the early 70s at that time of AOC vines were planted to replace gradually the less noble varieties and evolve into the current grape varieties, balanced and consistent with Fronton appellation. The property was acquired in 1997 by Guy Salmona, current leader of the vineyard, and large investments were made into wine materials in a rigorous quality optics. For a total of 44 hectares, the vines of Chateau Laurou, consistent with the appellation, is distributed as follows: Négrette, Syrah, Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Gamay. All wines are certified organic farming since 2013, so that the terroir of AOC Fronton can be fully expressed, including the traditional variety Négrette which gives unique aroma and a particular concentration. The wines of Château Laurou are often recognized by the various guides (Hatchets Wine, Paris Agricultural Show, Gault Millau) as being excellent value for money. Wines of fun that will leave willingly accompanied by beautiful plates of charcuterie and butcher pieces for red wines, and grilled fish for white and rosé wines.
