The winemaker

The appellation Buzet is 209 growers spread over 1810 hectares of vineyards. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc for the reds, Sauvignon and Semillon for whites, are all noble varieties that make up the Buzet. The soil is composed of harmoniously boulbènes silt, clay, silt, and clay serious terrefort the highest of which are on ridges rising to 150 meters. The warm oceanic climate gives our vines conditions ideal expression. The average annual temperature is 13 °, rainfall is limited and sunshine is 1936 hours per year. The remarkably sunny autumns are conducive to good grape maturity, essential to achieve good wines. In 1953, men and women have chosen to unite and create a cooperative. The company Les Vignerons de Buzet was born. Since then, Buzet wines have come a long way, including obtaining the AOC AOC in 1973. Today, the Buzet Winemakers are a major winery in the south west of France, and propose Buzet appellation wines red, rosé and white throughout France, and to the 4 corners of the world.
