In a few words ...

"You have to be drunk all the time. To avoid feeling the horrible burden of time shattering your shoulders, you have to be inebriated all the time. Wine, poetry or virtue, as you like. Mais enivrez-vous!" said charles baudelaire in "spleen de paris", whose expression "spleen" is attributed to the origin of château "chasse-spleen". Known under the name of its owner, Madame poujeaux-castaing, the cru wanted to differentiate itself from neighboring châteaux. To do so, she borrowed a quotation from the British poet Lord Byron, who, after tasting the wine, declared "this wine has no equal for chasing away spleen". The name is also associated with the first "spleen and ideal" section of Charles Baudelaire's "Les fleurs du mal", some of whose poems were illustrated by Odilon Redon, a painter and neighbor of the estate. This location produces wines whose quality surpasses that of many other crus classés, and which are unquestionably at the top of the Moulis appellation in the Médoc, along with Château p
