The wines of morey saint denis are matured for at least 8 months, which gives them an excellent ageing potential. The red wines are ruby-red in color. They have a velvety tannic structure and balanced acidity, giving them great finesse. Aromas of red and black fruits are present in young wines. On the palate, they offer good structure and aromatic persistence. The harvest and quality of red wines from the 1967 vintage was good. A hot summer, especially in August, and a superb month of September produced fine, long-keeping red wines.
