Le Guide Hachette des Vins

Le Guide Hachette des Vins Critique professionnel

"Petrus, the most famous and mythical of the Pomerols, occupies a special place in the world of wine. It was at the wedding of Elisabeth, now Queen of England, that it acquired its notoriety. On the label, an engraving depicts Saint Peter and the key to Paradise: happy are those mortals who have the pleasure of tasting it. Admirably dressed in a deep, dark color with black highlights, the 97 develops an already highly expressive bouquet, at once fruity and vinous, vanilla and toasty. Tasty and fleshy on the palate, it reveals a fine structure of ripe, yet firm tannins on the finish. A promising wine for the next ten years".
