The winemaker

The Andre Ostertag estate, a blend of terroir and modernity


The Andre Ostertag estate covers 15 hectares. If it has become a benchmark estate, it's first and foremost thanks to the obstinacy of Adolphe Ostertag, who worked to gain recognition for the quality of Bas-Rhin terroirs. Andre has kept this heritage and added his own touch, by varying his breeding techniques, inspired by Burgundian practices.

The Ostertag estate takes Alsace varietals to new heights


Pinot noir, riesling, gewurztraminer and more, the estate honors Alsace's diversity and works biodynamically. The pinot noir is juicy and full of fruit. The Riesling Les Jardins is a model of balance between minerality and sapidity. The Fronholz gewurztraminer is pure, with a hint of lychee and honey.
