In a few words ...
A major Côte de Nuits appellation, both in size and reputation, Gevrey-Chambertin is characterized by a great diversity of terroirs. No white wine is produced here, only pinot noir. Our 1.4-hectare parcel is located at the foot of the slope, in a place called Les Murots. The soils are clay-limestone with limestone predominating. On the surface, a high proportion of scree gravel, brought in by the alluvial cone of the Combe de Lavaux, gives these soils a draining character and particularly favors grape ripening by reflecting heat and solar radiation. This light soil gives Gevrey-Chambertin wines a palette of red berries, mineral notes and a suppleness characteristic of this terroir.

The first nose offers a beautiful range of ripe black fruits which, with aeration, mingle with spices in a very subtle way. On the palate, the wine is both delicate and powerful! Very well-balanced!
