The winemaker

In all, Pascal and Alain Lorieux's vineyard covers 20 hectares. A fraction of the vines are located at the eastern entrance to the village of Saint Nicolas, on a gravel terrace. All along departmental road 21, in Cravant les Coteaux, the rest of the vines flourish on clay-limestone soil. Facing due south, these plants produce grapes that are both firm and flavorful.
