Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina The winery, Bodegas Krontiras, was established in 2003. "Krontiras" refers to the Greek Constantinos Krontiras and family. The label, Doña Silvina, in honor of its Argentine woman who oversaw the construction of the winery and label design. The passion for wine Constantinos brought him back to the birthplace of his wife in Mendoza and the current owner began in 2003 after having acquired two vineyards; a vineyard of eight hectares of 120 year old vines in the subregion Lunlunta, Perdriel Lujan de Cuyo and a vineyard of 18 hectares is planted in Villa Seca, Maipu. Both vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic certified soon. The philosophy embraces culture came as a living system. The winery was built works in a respectful way of the environment and meets Bodegas Krontiras main rule: respect nature of vineyards final product. The current global production of the winery is under 2500cs With four wines currently produced are: pink, fresh Malbec, Malbec and Malbec Reserva Classic. Wines are picked by hand According to the dynamic philosophy Bio using only the native yeast and handmade by their winemaker Soledad Valdes.
