In a few words ...

Beaune is the historic capital of Burgundy wines, and for more than a century the Albert Bichot house has been located in its center. It's also an appellation in its own right, often overlooked, yet offering a number of very interesting terroirs thanks to their balance. This is precisely what we're looking for in Beaune Clos de l'Ermitage, a parcel located high up on Montagne St-Désiré. Pinot Noir, on clay-limestone soils on hard Oxfordian limestone, will express all its finesse, in a taut register combined with a characteristic minerality.

Tasting notes

Appearance

Attractive, deep ruby color.

Aroma

The nose reveals grilled, smoky, red fruit aromas that are very Pinot Noir, with hints of leather and undergrowth.

Wine Empyreumatic | Fruity | Smoked

Taste

Fine and elegant, the tannins are dense and fine, in a mouth of a very frank structure. Good length, dominated by the minerality of the terroir.

Wine Elégant | Long | Minéral
