Bourgogne Gamay became a new regional appellation from the 2011 vintage. The Gamay grapes used must come exclusively from the prestigious Beaujolais Crus (Brouilly, Chénas, Chiroubles, Côte-de-Brouilly, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin à Vent, Régnié, Saint Amour). The soils are granitic, sandy and slightly clayey, at altitudes ranging from 200 to 450 meters. This lightness of soil gives our Bourgogne Gamay a characteristic combination of freshness and fruitiness.
Appearance
This Bourgogne Gamay has a deep ruby color with purple highlights.
Aroma
Gamay's characteristic cherry and kirsch aromas are complemented by floral notes (iris, rose).
