In a few words ...
Our Vacqueyras Sables et Argiles rouges came as a surprise when we were looking for a winemaker in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In our case, our winemaker is a woman, Hélène by name, surrounded by an all-female team. Her family has owned vineyards in Vacqueyras, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Beaumes-de-Venise for several generations. The reception at the estate is just like the winery, clean and functional, while a well-kept outdoor Mediterranean garden demonstrates a strong sense of detail. The wines live up to the first impression one might have upon arriving: precise, fine, elegant and well-made. Vacqueyras wines are all about fruit and complexity.

The appellation Vacqueyras is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Caravinsérail • La Maison de Cascavel and its 0 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
