In a few words ...

"vineyard: to the south of the côte de nuit vineyard lies chambertin-clos de bèze, ideally exposed. It benefits from clay-limestone soil. In the winery: to protect the grapes as much as possible, they are picked and sorted by hand. Maceration and vinification last between 2 and 3 weeks, with the use of "indigenous" yeasts, i.e. yeasts of natural origin. The wine is aged for 14 to 18 months, developing its aromas in French oak barrels. Tasting by Madame Boss-Drouhin: "The color is an intense ruby red. The aromas are powerful and refined. When young, they evoke black cherry and bitter chocolate. They then evolve towards notes of undergrowth, truffle and liquorice. After about 15 years, the candied fruit notes remain, combined with nuances of leather and civet characteristic of evolution. Powerful yet velvety tannin structure, perfect balance. The finish is long, with aromas of black cherry and licorice. A kaleidoscope of sensations". 2019 vintage: the 2019 vintages have maintained the reputation of the vintages ending with 9. They are of impeccable quality, gourmet, fine, supple and unctuous."
