    In a few words ...

Wine information: pibarnon bandol rouge 2017 is a cuvée composed of 90% mourvèdre and 10% grenache. The vines are planted in an 'amphitheater' facing the sea, on Triassic clay, limestone and chalk. For this vin de garde, only the best and oldest vines are used, at an average altitude of 250 meters. Fermentation lasts around three weeks. The wines are then aged plot by plot in adapted barrels, casks and foudres of different origins for 20 months. deep purplish red with purple highlights. château de pibarnon rouge 2017 is deep and intense, with dark blackberry, blackcurrant, prune, elderberry and elderwood on the attack. Juniper, clove, truffle and pepper follow, with aromas of vine peach, orange and violet. It envelops the nose wonderfully with its soaring, charming perfume. It flows smoothly, full-bodied and densely onto the tongue. Its tannins are extremely fine and high-quality, its acidity invigorating, its minerality fresh, stony and concise. A great classic from the fantastic Mourvèdre grape, which can age exceptionally well. In a decanter or after a day's opening, it can already be a great meal companion. christina hilker's tasting note from 26.05.2021, copyright christina hilker allergene:enthält schwefel
