In a few words ...

Sauternes is a sweet wine and one of Bordeaux's smallest appellations. Sauternes wines develop a "roti" bouquet with ageing, with notes of honey, hazelnut and candied orange.
The 1983 vintage was a curious year, with sawtooth weather. The evolution of the reds over time was similar. They can still provide a great deal of pleasure. The red wines are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives them finesse and length on the palate. These wines can still be enjoyed today.

Tasting notes

Appearance

A beautiful golden yellow color.

Aroma

Rich, complex aromas.

Taste

Young sweet whites are delicious, slightly jammy but still retaining acidity. With age, they evolve towards more concentrated aromas, such as the bitterness of candied orange and hints of salted butter caramel.
