In a few words ...

Resulting from the division of Château Léoville in 1840, this fine Saint-Julien 2nd Cru Classé has belonged to the Cuvelier family since 1920. It has been represented by Didier Cuvelier since 1979, who has shown great legitimate ambition for his cru: plots have been replanted to extend the vineyard's exploited surface area - from 48 hectares to 80 today. Oenologist Michel Rolland has been advising on vinification since 1994, imbuing the wines with his "nectar" style: seductive, full-bodied, concentrated and unctuous, they feature bright fruit and sweet spice notes, with superb ageing potential. J. Suckling: 95-96/100

Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.

Aroma

The nose reveals notes of violet and empyreumatic like wood, roasting, vanilla ... In aging, the wine will reveal very high quality game or truffle aromas.

Taste

The wines of Saint-Julien are famous for mixing the feminine finesse of Margaux wines with the strength of Pauillac wines. We will find therefore structured tannins with a note of black fruits important that will give an interesting overall balance.
