In a few words ...

"on the border between the côte de nuits and the côte de beaune, the vineyards of the corton-charlemagne appellation lie at an altitude of between 280 and 330 meters. High and rounded on its three viticultural sides, the mountain of corton unites the villages of aloxe-corton (climat le charlemagne), pernand-vergelesses (climat en charlemagne) and ladoix-serrigny (some climats in whole or in part: pougets, corton, languettes).this vine was donated by emperor charlemagne in 775 to the collegiate church of saint-andoche in saulieu. It would remain part of this heritage for a thousand years! Still celebrating the emperor with the flowery beard today, Corton-Charlemagne brings together the Charlemagne and En Charlemagne climats, as well as a number of neighboring climats federated under this banner (the AOC Grand Cru dates from July 31, 1937). Unlike corton, the name of the climat does not appear on the label.vintage 20152015 in burgundy was a superb year which, while it favored reds, did not leave whites out in the cold, since for the latter, this year is considered a great vintage."
