Cuvée Philaë - Vendanges Tardives Philippe Auchère - 50cl White wine ● Vin de France (Loire)
2018 50clThe 2018 vintage saw the first release of this new cuvée, named after Philippe's daughter. The vintage was of rare quality, motivating the winemaker to consider a late harvest from his best old vines over 80 years old. Hand-harvested at the end of November 2018, after withstanding autumn weather and snow, the Sauvignon grapes rested for a week in the cellar before being gently pressed for 6 hours. This wine will have fermented naturally several times over many months, before reaching its perfect balance. With 26 g/L of residual sugar, this sweet nectar of Sauvignon Blanc delights the eye with its intense golden color, the nose with its exotic aromas, and the palate with its complex fruitiness.
