Château la conseillante - duo 2017le château la conseillante is located in the pomerol appellation on the border with saint-émilion à bordeaux. The chateau is adjacent to l'evangile and vieux chateau certan à pomerol, and cheval blanc. Chateau la conseillante dates back to the mid-18th century, when it was managed by Catherine conseillan. It has belonged to the nicolas family since 1871. Since 2003, bertrand and jean-valmy nicolas, representing the fifth generation, have been writing a new chapter in the domaine's history. Today, they manage the estate in an increasingly co-responsible and sustainable way. The conseillante vineyard extends over 12 hectares, made up of sixteen parcels, the oldest of which was planted in 1958.duo de conseillante 2017 is a blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). The grapes underwent cold pre-fermentation maceration for 4 days and were then placed in vats for 27 days. The wine was matured for 16 months in 50% new barrels and 50% one-year-old barrels.cépages: 80% merlot, 20% cabernet franc
