A selection of gravelly plots in the northeastern part of the vineyard is dedicated to Espérance de Trotanoy, a wine that opens up with fruit and proves delicious after a few years of ageing, yet retains the depth, complexity and power characteristic of Trotanoy's unique terroir. Espérance de Trotanoy, produced in very limited quantities only in certain vintages, is vinified in cement vats and aged in French oak barrels.

Appearance
Pomerols are usually dark ruby in color, with violet highlights when young, and brick hues as they age.
Aroma
The bouquet is often rich and complex, with notes of black and red fruits. Empyreumatic notes are also present, with leather, roasting and a hint of vanilla.
