The winemaker

From the seventeenth century, the old family Crozilhac, lords of Lescaley Bourgeois of Bordeaux, had developed the cultivation of vines on his estate in Grand Bos. In 1771, the house was renovated and enlarged common and increases to make it in the best conditions already famous wine of the parish of Castres-Guyenne. Féret, old house of Bordeaux edition, ranked Grand Bos in Bordeaux and its wines at the top of its wines in 1868 as it does today. In 1988, Andre Vincent, formerly owner of the castle Hague in Saint-Estephe, bought the Grand Bos was no more wine since 1950. After restoring the buildings, planted, but also acquired in the deep serious vein of old vines he retooled the property in modern equipment. After stopping its production policy, reviving traditional culture, outlawing all herbicide use, emphasizing the rational protection, load control clusters on the vine and handpicking, he made his first harvest in 1992. Today orders ownership pass in transition in the hands of his daughter, Marie Vincent Rochet who intends to continue the policy of his father who always sacrificing performance quality.
