The winemaker

The estuary of the Gironde, 3 km wide, flowing at the foot of the hills, creating a microclimate whose providential softness contributes to obtaining a very good maturity of grapes just before being harvested. On the opposite bank, Margaux, Saint Julien Beychevelle Pauillac, one can not wish better neighborhood for a vineyard! We have the same climate as the wines from the left bank. Same clouds, the same light, same temperature, same humidity. This micro-climate (the "estuary") is hot in summer, wet and very windy afternoon, with cool nights. It is deemed favorable to good ripening grapes.
