Located in the south of the Côte de Beaune, between Puligny-Montrachet and Santenay, the Chassagne-Montrachet vineyards are divided between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Somewhat overshadowed by the great reputation of the whites, the red wines of Chassagne-Montrachet are appreciated by connoisseurs for the expressiveness of their terroir. Their fleshy power is often reminiscent of the crus of the Côte de Nuits.
