Located in montigny-les-arsures, the estate was founded in 1962 by andré and mireille tissot. The estate grew over the years with the purchase of new plots (curon, la mailloche, les bruyères and château-chalon) to reach 46 hectares today. André and Mireille cultivated the vines biodynamically, and a few years later their son, Stéphane Tissot, obtained organic farming certification. Respectful of nature, he lets the soil live and uses only natural yeasts and little sulfur in the cellar. All of this will help the domaine to evolve and progress, taking its wines to the top of the appellation and making it a must in the Jura region. stéphane tissot's cuvée les bruyères vin jaune comes from an 80-acre parcel, planted with fifty-year-old savagnin grapes on a soil of lias clay and a subsoil of blue marl, which largely contribute to the wine's high concentration and characteristic smokiness.
