In a few words ...

A classic RENARD BLANC vintage, comparable to 2007 or 2010, with beautiful bitters. A wine of expressive character, revealing a perfect balance between tension, power and freshness. This wine, made from ridiculous yields on canonically aged vines, should reveal all its breed, complexity and exceptional ageing potential in the years to come. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness. Harvested exclusively by hand. VINIFICATION and REFINEMENT: Gentle pressing. Static settling at 6-8°C after 48 hours of must settling. Controlled fermentation at 16-18°C. Racking into 400-liter French oak barrels at the start of fermentation. Weekly stirring of lees for 3 months. Natural stabilization by decantation. Racking and blending of barrels in vats after 12 months' ageing. Light filtration. Resting in vats for a minimum of 2 months. Bottling without fining or additional filtration.

Beautiful pale gold color. Very interesting nose of white-fleshed fruit, with a hint of roasted pineapple. The palate is fat and subtle, revealing many floral aromas. Very interesting.
