The winemaker

A family estate established in Verdigny, in the heart of the Sancerre appellation, since 1926, Fournier Père & Fils has a history intrinsically linked to that of this wine region. It was founded by Hélène and Léon Fournier, the latter of whom was a member of the founding committee of the Verdigny village syndicate. Their spirit of enterprise and perseverance are values that the estate still upholds today. Initially a mixed farming estate in the 1960s, with just 0.2 hectares of vines, it specialized in viticulture and greatly expanded its surface area over the years. In 2015, he joined the Vignobles Villebois family, which perpetuates this work of authenticity and quality. In addition, the estate has been certified 'Haute Valeur Environnementale' since 2021 and 'Vignerons Engagés' since the 2022 vintage.
