The winemaker

Château Saint André is a family property since 1974, it is operated today by Philippe Guichard has just been joined by Cyril, Alexandra and her children Jackie. It covers an area of 140 hectares. The vineyard created in 1929 is composed of the typical varieties of our different name namely Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah, Chardonnay, Ugni Blanc, Roussanne, Role. The Castle has three names: Vin de Pays du Gard, Vin de Pays d'Oc, Costières de Nîmes. Along the Rhone delta, where the hills of the earth have already turned to the sea, the wines of Château Saint André vineyards thrive by dominating the Camargue. Located in the south curb, Château consists of pebbles by the Rhone and offers ideal conditions the vine to produce wine round and balanced qualities. A traditional winemaking combined with the most modern techniques of oenology ensures our wines perfect harmony. Wishing to respect the environment, the vineyard has signed an environmental charter involving rational control, the natural grass and hedge planting to fight against fires. The Castle is provided with its own bottling line, ensuring full traceability of its products. The best wines are aged in barrels for 9 to 18 months, allowing to develop their flavors and to refine the tannins. Nourished by climate generosity, fruits draped with strength and elegance of an art festival setting and aromas.
