The small wine cooperative les coteaux de fournès is located on the outskirts of the idyllic village of 900 souls, in the heart of the canton of remoulins. The village is well known for the diversity of its soils. Millions of years ago, the Rhone still flowed here, leaving a rich legacy in the clay soil, sediments and minerals that give the wine its strength. Large pebbles remain from the Ice Age. They store the sun's heat and release it at night, which has a very positive effect on grape ripening. In addition to the many hours of sunshine, there's also a strong north-westerly wind here, the mistral. This ensures rapid drying of the grapes, which explains why the cooperative is virtually free of fungal diseases.Bois de brignon grapes grow on coarse gravel soil in the vineyard of the same name. Bois means "small forest" and is derived from an earlier situation where there was a small oak grove. Today, a single oak still stands proudly in the vineyard. Reason enough to include it on the label. Allergene:enthält sulfite
