Granato means pomegranate. It comes from various vineyards totaling 4 hectares located around the village of Mezzolombardo in Trentino, on alluvial soils dominated by sand, gravel and rolled pebbles. The Campo Rotaliano area lies at the bottom of the valley, framed by steep rock faces, creating a very specific microclimate. Teroldego is an old local grape variety, and after years of work, the estate has been able to recover the best original plants through strict selection. Granato is the estate's grand cuvée, produced only from the oldest vines and only in the best vintages. Granato shows great complexity and depth in all vintages, combined with remarkable freshness and magnificent finesse, with very silky tannins and an easy-to-digest character, thanks to Elisabetta Foradori's decade-long commitment to biodynamic viticulture.
