The winemaker

The history of the winery Il Poggiarello begins in 1882 when the grandfather Perini meeting grandfather Ferrari. Since following the winemaker generations and ways of relating to the grape and wine, up to the great-grandchildren of today than in 1980, they took over the company in the complete degradation. In fact, since 1982, he started the "Reorganization". The winery is located in parts of Piacenza, namely in the Val Trebbia, in the sixteenth century was known and appreciated for the quality of its wines. The 13 hectares of vineyards surrounding the Poggiarello azienda are divided into plots (perticati) homogeneous soil quality and exposure. Each of these Perticato was given the quality of the grapes that best and for each one there is a significant name in the history and tradition. Today the company produces about 100,000 bottles incorporating the typical varieties of the hills of Piacenza (Gutturnio Ortrugo Malvasia) with more international variety.
