The winemaker

It is little known outside Italy and for good reason: 80% of production is sold in Italy. To produce Franciacorta, strict rules must be followed as the harvest by hand. A huge workload but guarantee the quality of the final product. Several houses produce the Franciacorta Bellavista is home owned by the Moretti family I take you on a tour, an area that I visited for a morning. Bellavista The house is now the largest winery in the region with its production of one and half million bottles per year. Initially, Vittorio Moretti and passionate love of the earth was only a few hectares and produced about 3,000 bottles for personal cellar and friends. In the 70s, he bought more land and grows. The Bellavista vineyards cover 190 hectares today.
