In a few words ...
Rich straw-yellow in color, with persistent mousse and fine perlage. The bouquet is characteristically fruity and floral, with notes of green apples, pears and acacia. The palate is harmonious, elegant and fresh. Bottega gold is a dry sparkling wine made from selected Treviso grapes. The region's climate lends itself perfectly to the cultivation of this grape variety. The grapes are sorted by hand, then gently pressed in the cellar. The resulting must is stored in steel tanks at constant, low temperatures to preserve its freshness. After a short storage period, the must is fermented for 40 days at controlled temperatures of 14-15°c, at which point selected yeasts are added (charmat method). The golden bottles protect the wine from light, allowing it to retain its aromas and freshness for longer. Distilleria bottega was founded in 1977 by aldo and rosina bottega, and moved shortly afterwards to pianzano di godega. Six years later, the management of the company was taken over by son sandro bottega, then aged 19, following the death of his father. Thanks to an innovative distillation system, the company went on to win worldwide recognition for its grappas, which contained less alcohol and were therefore smoother and finer. It was only ten years after its foundation that the company began exporting its products abroad, the portfolio later expanding to include prosecco.
