La Bodega MARCHESATO DEGLI Aleramici, established in 1986, near Siena, in the town of Montalcino where you will find our domain "He Galampio". Located in the city known as the "Pian delle Vigne", this old farmhouse is situated on a gentle slope leading down to the forest towards the river Ombrone. The eastern and western vineyards and olive groves are close to the old farm. About 47 hectares in all (117 acres), 14 hectares (35 acres) are planted with vines. The Siena district, which belongs Montalcino is one of the oldest wine regions. In this context, it is produced Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino. The production of this famous wine is limited to the municipality of Montalcino. The grape is Sangiovese Grosso. 9 hectares of Brunello are grown in the area "Il Galampio". He long ago, even before these famous wines are produced, the farm Il Galampio made a very special red wine from the same vineyard as the current Brunello, our Galampio Rosso.
