In a few words ...

This red wine d.o.c. from Veneto is made from corvina, rondinella, molinara and negrara grapes. The grapes are dried on straw mats for 3 months to concentrate the fructose. Amarone is then aged for 3 years in Slovenian oak barrels. It is dark red in color, with a fragrant bouquet of cinnamon, cherry and walnut. Amarone is full and velvety on the palate.
