Cantina Valpolicella Negrar was organized in 1933 from several small manufacturers uncompetitive. Today Cantina Negrar - an association of 180 winegrowers, one of the largest wine cooperatives in Italy. They advise and coordinate the activities of about 200 vineyard owners, whose total area is 500 hectares. The old recipes combined with modern innovations that are used with great caution and care - a guarantee of high quality. All vineyards are located on the slopes of the hills of Valpolicella Classico region northwest of Verona. Annual production capacity now stands at over 8 million bottles of wine produced from over 60,000 quintals (13 million. pounds) of grapes.
