In a few words ...

Supple, silky tannins for a rich, round palate with great length. During the year, the vineyard was constantly torn between extremes: a harsh winter (-20°C on December 26, 2010!), mild to hot temperatures in spring, drought followed by heavy rainfall in summer. Budburst took place at the beginning of April, a fortnight earlier than in a normal year. Dry, sunny and very hot weather accelerated the process, with flowering occurring at the end of May 2 to 3 weeks ahead of schedule. The excellent weather conditions during flowering led to excellent fruit set, with bunches often emerging generously, while neutralizing the risk of fungal diseases. The cooler, wetter start to summer reduced vegetation advance somewhat, compensating for much of the water deficit. The fine weather returned from August 15 onwards. The harvest went off without a hitch. The few areas of rot were dried by the wind, and the grapes showed a good evolution in concentration.
