The grier family owns the villiera vineyard in stellenbosch, south africa. Renowned producers of top-quality "cap classique" (sparkling wine) and a wide range of red and white wines, they have been leaders in the South African wine industry for many years, recognized for their quality, innovation and environmentally-friendly practices. In early 2006, 22 hectares of vines between st paul de fenouillet and caudiès de fenouillet became available for sale, and the grier family immediately seized the opportunity to become owners. To add value to their estate by creating their own wines, they bought a winery in st paul, their intention being to implement new technologies and an advanced approach to the market while respecting the traditions of the region.
