Morei means dark in the local dialect and the grapes that come from this vineyard are the mirror image. Their roots lie in the pebbles and sand of the soil brought down from the River Noce, and give rise to wines with a dense, mineral texture. It comes from 2.5-hectare vineyards located around the village of Mezzolombardo in Trentino, on alluvial soils dominated by sand, gravel and rolled pebbles. Campo Rotaliano lies at the bottom of the valley, framed by steep rock faces, creating a very specific microclimate. Teroldego is an old local grape variety, and after years of work, the estate has been able to recover the best original plants through strict selection.
