In a few words ...
The wines of morey saint denis are matured for at least 8 months, which gives them an excellent ageing potential. The red wines are ruby-red in color. They have a velvety tannic structure and balanced acidity, giving them great finesse. Aromas of red and black fruits are present in young wines. On the palate, they offer good structure and aromatic persistence.
The 1994 vintage would have been a great year had it not been for the September rains which prevented full ripening. The reds are well-structured, more tannic than the 1993s, but sometimes a little dry. The earlier-ripening Merlot ripened better than the Cabernet Sauvignon, so the Right Bank is at an advantage.
