The winemaker
Since 1999, the brilliant young winemaker João Brito e Cunha Douro (a descendant of D. Antonia Ferreira - the Ferreirinha), develops its staff and family project on 10 hectares of vineyards of Quinta de San Jose, which is located in Cima Corgo, at an altitude between 150 and 300 meters. Produced from Touriga Nacional (55%), Touriga Franca (35%) and Tinta Roriz (10%), grapes that have led to this wine come mainly schist and are exposed to the north. Hand harvested in 25 kg boxes, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks and mill after a soft crash stemmed, thus allowing you all the qualities present in mature movies excel in wine.
