An Hommage to Burgundian Heritage
Maison Louis Jadot
Generous wines that pay tribute to the Dominican order, known as Jacobins, which was very present in Burgundy.
Maison Louis Jadot, one of the most prestigious houses in Burgundy, has created two elegant cuvées to honour the region's heritage.
Bourgogne Rouge Couvent des Jacobins is made from Pinot Noir grapes from all over the Côte d'Or - from Gevrey Chambertin to the Maranges, in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune and Hautes Côtes de Nuits - but also from Saône et Loire to the south (Mercurey, Givry).
It can be served chilled when young with grilled or roasted red meats. After two years, it will require heartier dishes such as game and soft cheeses.
Bourgogne Blanc Couvent des Jacobins is made from Chardonnay grapes from all over Burgundy and in particular from the Côte d'Or, the Chalonnais and Viré-Clessé. This wine is ideal with mixed salads, seafood, sushi, and frog legs with parsley and butter.
