Authentic Sancerre from an artisan winemaker

Philippe Auchère chooses not to add artificial yeast to his wines, which ferment only with indigenous yeast, naturally present in the juice. Moreover, no acidity corrector or deviant input is added to his wines. Each cuvée has its own characteristics, expressing as faithfully as possible its year and its terroir.
In a responsible and ecological logic, it is the pig Gaston who maintains the surrounding undergrowth. Rasta, Rockett and Lola, sheep from Ouessant, maintain the green spaces, and finally some hens take care of the slugs which would take the way of the vegetable garden. It is in this rustic setting that Philippe tries to elaborate wines that are both authentic and atypical.
The Sancerre Blanc reveals exotic aromas and a scent of citrus. It will be a perfect ally of seafood, fish and white meats.
The Red Sancerre offers silky tannins and spicy aromas. Already ready to drink, it can also be forgotten in the cellar. A great pinot noir, fruity, on the freshness, in its 2020 version, it will accompany wonderfully a red meat.
