Philip 2019 is dedicated to Philip Mazzei (1730-1816), an illustrious family ancestor. Not only did he introduce viticulture to Virginia, USA, but he also inspired his friend Thomas Jefferson to include the doctrine "all men are created equal" in the Declaration of Independence.
Made from the estate's finest Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, this wine is full-bodied, ripe and intriguing, long on the palate with a pleasant, fresh aftertaste. It is a perfect pairing for game meats.
Complex and refined, it is also a perfect wine for further bottle ageing. A must for your cellar!
