The affable and distinguished Karl Von Schubert offers refined Rieslings with the inimitable elegance of the Ruwer slate terroirs. Racy, thirst-quenching and civilized. The "Superior" wine, a dry wine that has been fermented to completion, is breathtaking. Since 2005, the Herrenberg and Abtsberg Superior wine category, which stands for premium wine, has been created, and corresponds to fermentation with natural yeasts in the classic Fuderfaß, a fitting name for this quality wine produced from the finest grapes. The name "Superior" was selected after the historical name of "Brother Superior" calling the head of a Christian religious community (also synonymous with "abbot" a monastery).
