    In a few words ...

    A wine of intriguing character, vibrant on the palate and exuding finesse. This elegance is complemented by fresh floral notes on the nose, subtle underlying red berries, with spices that will evolve over time. Sangiovese adds freshness to the cherry aromas on the finish. Cold maceration for 3 days, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aged in barrels (12 months), then in concrete vats (11 months).

    "Schalk-Willem Joubert's aim is to make Chant Rouge a widely distributed premium brand, like Chocolate Block, and he's certainly on the right track. The wine is based on Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and bits of Syrah, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese. It's a subtle, refreshing red with notes of plum, red berries and tomato leaf, with discreet oak. tomato leaf and discreet oak. To be enjoyed between 2024 and 2028."

    Aromas of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, as well as herbal notes. On the palate, it offers a fine structure with fine tannins.
