The winemaker

Binitord is a family winery located in the vicinity of Ciutadella de Menorca, in the island of Menorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. The vineyard was established in 2007. The property covers an area of ​​three hectares and has 12,000 strains of different varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot and Syrah for red varieties and Chardonnay and Macabeo for white varieties. After a long period of experimentation, Binitord has released a line of premium wines, well made, symbolizing the resumption of the long winemaking tradition in the island of Menorca, which has its own designation of origin "Vi Terra Illa de Menorca "because of its exceptional climatic conditions for wine. The results are that Binitord wines are some of the most important awards and recognitions that exist in the world of wine. Binitord facilities are in an underground cellar, perfectly adapted to the environment, by visually observing the beautiful surroundings of the property. The cellar, entirely dug into the ground continuously maintains optimal temperature without great oscillations, providing the appropriate conditions for the aging of wines. Although much of the work in the vineyard is on a small scale - Binitord has limited production numbered bottles per year of premium wines - facilities for the production of wine have in modern stainless steel tanks and latest machines.
