Today, thanks to the advice of Michel Tardieu and Philippe Cambie, the daily work of a passionate team, this dream takes shape. After slow maturation in bright sunlight comes the time of harvest. One watchword on every lip: RESPECT. Respect the work of nature, the work of men and women, generations that have succeeded to obtain this result. At each stage of the processing of grapes, a permanent concern of quality is observed. Technology contributes to the respect of the fruit ... The winemaking are soft, without any excess, the objective being to reveal the typical Priorat. Then comes the stage of the breeding, which ranges from 14 to 18 months. Here the wine placed in French oak barrels, will refine, assert its identity. d'élaborer to wines of great expression, combining character and elegance, choosing the vineyard is crucial. Since 1999, some 35 hectares of vineyards were planted on land classified DOQ Priorat, by precisely selecting the plots. Indeed, the majority of the vineyard is planted on shale altitude. Based on the data of the plot, we plant or both native varieties in this region: Carignan and Grenache or Syrah or Cabernet Sauvignon. These young vines, whose potential quality is already very promising, will be the future of Bodegas Mas Alta. To d'élaborer cuvées, we also buy grapes to local wineries, often the village. They hold the authenticity and heritage of Priorat. Indeed, it is in these winemakers that we find the essence of our wines: old vines. These old vines 50 years and naturally give less grapes, first step towards a quality wine. Their deep-rooted, well established, allows d'atteindre full maturity, less dependent on weather conditions, constant. Finally, the soil expresses pure, without appeal.
